Splish Splash Sparrows Taking a Bath

A bit intrusive? Of course it is, but it doesn't matter birds don't have the rights like we do. Winter is coming up soon so a great thing to do would to be go out and get a bird bath, birds love washing themselves and it is a vital supply of water! I speak from the hip youth of today and in a totally non perverse way that watching a blackbird bathe in the morning is a joy and can brighten up anyone's day.

It's Been a While

Yep, it has. For numerous reasons, I haven't really gone out there and photographed anything i found to be particularly special.

However, the main photographer out of us both has also forgotten that he also has to update this blog now and again, so I am here to do it.

I am just dropping some photos i took while myself and Robson were in Cornwall. It was a fun time and due to us studying a module to do with zoo animals as well as being on an animal management course we spent three days in three different zoo's, which made for some interesting photos.

Robson always tells me that people often complain about how natural the photo's are and of course, they should over time, in a environment like a zoo, you do get accustomed to people walking back and forth, however, for someone like me who has never left the comfort of my own country, never mind experienced anything like these animals past a zoo, it is a fantastic way to broaden your horizon and opens you up to more of a world. As someone who wishes to become a zoo keeper, conservationist and all that, this is the world i want to experience and hopefully, one day photograph animals in the wild.

All photos within the blog are made small to fit inside the box, please click on the photo to see it at its best!
My first photo is brought to you from Dartmoor Zoo, alright, i will admit this photo isn't great, but i love it none the less! This is my favorite photo from the trip, that and the seals! I've never been a been able to catch an animal do more than yawn so this was an amazing treat for me!

My next photo is as wild and free as the seals, yes off the coast of Cornwall in a great big cliff with a name i do not remember! These beautiful pictures are another highlight, again, it was something i hadn't experienced before and something you had to see!

This photo has to be big, the resolution and pixels just don't like being small, again not the greatest but a beautiful one no less!

Also, here is a meerkat contemplating the important matters of life!

That's it for this week guys, i will try and keep this as updated as possible, hopefully this will drag in the lovely Geraint Robson to put some of his photographs and skills towards this.

Thanks guys! Byee!
Smith.

Oops, I accidentally Introduced us.

Well, I am just going to be straight up and honest with you. I am no photographer, in fact, despite the name of this blog, one of my biggest pet peeves are those who have no experience taking photos, claim to be a photographer. I have always been told and something I truly believe in, you could take 2,000 pictures and never get a good photo, however, it is about finding that one perfect photo hidden amongst those 2,000 'eh, it's okay', 'these are bad' & the 'eh's, I am showing off and these will do'. It takes a talent that very few have to find those perfect photo's and even fewer to make a career out of that talent, but I digress.

You have already met Robson, the overly, awesome photographer with little, self esteem. He will be taking the best pictures out of us both, therefore referred to as, the supergrapher, he has spent a lot of time, money and effort into something he truly loves, wildlife photography and although he takes beautiful pictures, he picks very few he even deems worthy of showing me. Now, if you'd like to get check out his work, then please, click right..... HERE!

But, you have yet to meet me, I usually go by Cee but for the purpose of this blog and making that catchy title up there work, I will be referring to myself as Smith. I am not anything special, I would not consider myself a photographer in the slightest, but I do take lovely pictures and for a hobbyist like me, that is all I really want achieve and pursue, taking lovely, one in a chance photo's. I sadly, do not travel as much as I'd like so my one in a chance photo's just happen to often be of beautiful animals & landscapes from beautiful places.

The purpose of this blog is to learn, what we learn, we pass onto you in friendly pointers and guides, Robson has already made tutorials involving camera equipment. We want this to be a fun project and as he is the supergrapher, that must make me (Smith) the crappergrapher! A title I have come to adore.

I do hope you all enjoy the work that we have to show you, the next blog (which will be soon) will contain some pictures for you guys to pick at! I know you are all good at that.

So, for now? Toodles
Smith.

P.s:- There will not be an over abundance of 'got' in our posts any more, you hear that, Robson? NO MORE GOT!

Shout, Shout Let It All Out

As said by the pop rockers tears for fears, I demand answers screams the internet, but what is this? Another blog much ado about nothing? Don't be so silly and crass, of course it is to do about something right?...right? Anyway welcome to this new blog, this is a joint partnership between moi (that's french for "get yo bilingual skills outta here) and a person on the interwebs that goes by the name of Cee, I call her my life as she is my girlfriend. Anyway, I cannot wait to see her face as she realises she is not going to be the first poster as I assume she thinks she is since this blog was her idea, me? I was forced at gunpoint to fill the internet up with more of my nonsense, grammatical error and poor jokes.

So as I first said, what is this blog all about? Well I am not too sure about all the deets (getting down with the kids there) but by going on instinct it is all about the wonderful world of photography, in other words, this will be my bin for the photos I do not feel worthy of publishing on my blog, which by the way you can find here. The point of this blog is to improve as photographers, grow as people and evolve into a site full of images from the eyes of us, a data journal if you may, a place for escaping.

Anyway, what do I have for you today? ooo, bet you cannot wait. I got coots, you maybe asking what the devil are coots, well my good sir they are birds and aww, look at this, they got nestling. These were taken at Roath Park, coots have been well recorded to nest here very well, the lake itself has its dangers for chicks though, the worst being terrapins, who are not native to this country in the slightest. So where did these terrapins come from? Well it is from lazy good for nothings getting rid of pets, anyway enough about terrapins lets see those coots.
